OBJECTIVES

Bruce Ritchie will talk about a range of ethical and practical issues on the matters below, using some anonymised examples that he advised solicitors about during his 20 years experience as head of the Professional Practice team at the Law Society of Scotland. A Q & A session will follow during which participants can raise professional practice matters whether or not they have been covered in the talk.

Bruce Ritchie, former Director of Private Practice in the Law Society of Scotland. Mr Ritchie is also the co-author of “Law, Practice and Conduct for Solicitors” which is widely considered to be the definitive guide for Professional Practice and Conduct.
